This is the Liturgy of the Hours for December 31. Your local date is .
A new “beta” feature on the DivineOffice.org home page allows our community members to pick any date form a calendar to view the Liturgy of the Hours for that date!
The new feature can be found on the right sidebar on most of the website pages. In the next few days this feature will be moved and replace the “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” links that can currently be found on the left side of the site, below the day indicator next to the navigation bar for the day’s prayers.
How do you like this new feature?
To all involved, thank-you for all that makes the Liturgy of the Hours part of my day. Keeping you in my prayers!
Thank you, great feature!!
I would like to thank those whose voices I hear each time I pray with this site. They have become so familiar to me and their work has been instrumental in raising my level of prayer. Praying the Divine Office from the text can be confusing and distracting. Listening to this audio provides the listener with the uninterrupted flow of the prayer. Thank you.
It sounds like it will be very nice. Right now, tho, when I go to eve prayer for any day it shows the next days date and prayers, so I have to go to yesterday to get it. I can’t even imagine how complucated it is to work out all these changes. Thank you. M.A.
I am unable to get the Podcast any longer. The link “Podcast iTunes” seem to not work and I cannot find the Podcast on the iTunes store.
I like it. And I’m glad you will be moving it too. These eyes don’t see as well as they used too. I have to view DO with the page zoomed to 175% in Chrome. This completely hides the whole sidebar on the right unless I scroll. A lot of times, I forget it’s there.
I like the new feature. I also enjoy the soft soothing background music for the psalm and canticle readings!
There is a new (reader icon) in the address bar too. Very nice feature. You can choose background color, light, dark or sepia, font size with plus or minus signs, and two font type for the daily reading. Thanks for for making this website so nice for all of us. What a blessing!! Thanks You, and God’s blessings to all.
Another good idea! Thank you for all that you do to make this website grandiose. wishing you all God’s choicest blessings.
This new “pick any date” feature will make it so much easier to find a prior or future date for the
Liturgy of the Hours. Great job!
