Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone in our journey of faith and devotion. On August 6th, 2006, our very first Catholic website and podcast series went live. Eighteen years later, the prayer community at DivineOffice.org is thriving more than ever, and we are filled with gratitude and joy as we reflect on our journey together.
From our humble beginnings, our mission has always been to evangelize and nurture the Catholic relationship with God through the Liturgy of the Hours. Over the years, your unwavering support and participation have helped us grow into a vibrant, global prayer community.
Reflecting on the Past Year
The past 12 months have been nothing short of extraordinary. Here are some highlights:
A Community United in Prayer
Our success is not measured by numbers alone but by the strong sense of community and shared faith that binds us together. Every prayer said, every reflection shared, and every moment of devotion contributes to the beautiful tapestry of our community. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or have recently joined, your presence is a blessing to us all.
Exciting News: A New Initiative
As we celebrate this special anniversary, we are thrilled to announce a significant new project: the creation of a Spanish version of our website, apps, and podcasts. Spanish-speaking Catholics represent the largest Catholic community in the world, and we are committed to serving this vibrant and growing community.
To support this initiative, we will soon be launching a special fundraiser. Your contributions have always been crucial to our mission, and with your help, we can bring the Liturgy of the Hours to even more people around the globe.
Sustaining Our Mission
Divine Office operates solely through the generosity of our community members. Your donations ensure we can continue providing the Liturgy of the Hours, maintaining our website, creating new content, and supporting our global prayer community. If you feel called to support our mission, and it’s not a burden to you, please consider making a contribution HERE.
Thank You
We want to extend our gratitude to each and every one of you. Your faith, support, and participation have been the driving force behind our success. Let us continue to pray together, support one another, and spread the light of Divine Office to every corner of the globe.
Happy birthday, Divine Office! Here’s to many more years of faith, prayer, and community.
With deep gratitude,
– The Divine Office Team
May God bless your team for the beautiful job you are doing for the Glory of God!The Spanish version will be another success. Thank you!
I just found the LoH as a layperson coming back into the faith after lapsing for 23 years. I quickly became very discouraged with the book but when I found the Devine Office app and then the website, I very quickly became enamoured with it. The app and website allowed me to see what readings were next and that allowed me to find it in the Breviary. I love the hymms and really enjoy not having to listen to myself try and sing them. lol. I also like being able to have the LoH with me on my phone when I’m travelling or at work and can’t carry my Breviary with me. Thank you very much for your efforts and the amazing product you have put out. God Bless!
Congratulations to those who contributed to the Divine Office Website. It is very helpful for me as I used it almost every day to do Morning Prayer. I am very happy to hear that there will be a Spanish version as I inquired about this a few months ago. I do prayer with my father in law. Right now I do Morning Prayer and Night Prayer. A lady from my church sends it in Spanish via WhatsApp from YouTube. Now that the Divine Office will be offered in Spanish. I will have other options to pray with my father in law, because his Spanish is better than his English. I really appreciate this so much.
Please provide a way that I can contribute in Toronto, Canada, Chapter of Divine Mercy. Congratulations on this milestone. I am a handicapped widow of 78 years of age.
