Divine Office open for new members
Dear community,
Amid coronavirus outbreak, with many people unable to attend Mass and isolated in their homes, Divine Office is opening registrations temporarily to allow people in the United States to join in prayer. We hope more brothers and sisters will find spiritual nourishment, strength and consolation in praying the Liturgy of the Hours as we all go through these difficult, uncertain times.
To join others is prayer, make an account here if you don’t have one already: https://divineoffice.org/register/
Those who are visually impaired or blind can benefit from using this version of our website: https://divineoffice.org/accessible/
That is a screen-reader optimized version of our Liturgy of the Hours.
We also made the Divine Office apps for Android and iOS devices

In the words of Saint Ambrose:
“Let us take refuge from this world. You can do this in spirit, even if you are kept here in the body. You can at the same time be here and present to the Lord. Your soul must hold fast to him, you must follow after him in your thoughts, you must tread his ways by faith, not in outward show. You must take refuge in him. He is your refuge and your strength.” [1]

I need to remove Maximino Banaga. Please help. thank you
Thank you for making this available. I am new to praying the Holy Hours or Divine Office. I see it is a combination of prayers of praise, Holy Scripture and Psalms. My prayer routine was primarily the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy which are good to continue to pray at a set time of day.
Many times in my life I have fallen out of the habit of prayer. I wasn’t aware of the Divine Office and I appreciate knowing about it now. If aware that there were so many ways… one hopes one might have tried it. Likely as not, adopting would depend upon one’s openness.
Someone invited me to join a group of third order religious. I wasn’t ready to promise to pray it every day. Besides, it was too far to drive for the monthlys.
Now, decided to try doing the prayers without having taken a vow that would be broken.
Welcome, Barbara! We are SO fortunate to have this website!
Barbara, third orders members (eg secular franciscans)do not take vows.
‘Open our hearts to the needs of all men,
— fill us with brotherly love.’
Do these words create a spirit of inclusivity?
Can I ask how these words speak and relate to women?
I love this prayer ministry and the Divine Office, but this really needs addressed and considered in a more respectful way.
Prayers of thanksgiving for the release of my Carmelite brother’s soul. Rest in the loving arms of our Lord. In Carmel, Melissa
Sending everyone in need, prayers to recognize and be comforted by God’s love in their lives. In Carmel, Melissa Mruskovich
On this Labor Day I pray in gratitude for all those who labor in some way. May we all take a rest and thank God.

I share my glorious news today…my renal function has improved and I am no longer considered in ‘kidney failure’. Thanks be to God and everyone who has prayed for me over the past year and a half. Love In Carmel, Melissa Mruskovich
Praise God! Congratulations!,,
I really appreciate being able to pray “in community” with you. I don’t know what country you are in but I’m in Texas and am about ready to share this app with daily Mass people living alone, unable to pray in community at Mass. Streaming stopped. COVID-19 rages here.
My Marianist elderly residence bro’s and priests friends, are quarantined in small rooms. I’m trying to find a way for them to download this app. Any suggestions? Poor eyesight and hearing. Any suggestions how ? Most have computers. Mostly unused. Your audio makes this perfect for all 71 of them. Two had Covid.

Sorry to hear of COVID-19 infiltration. Will offer up daily mass for all Brothers and Priests suffering from this. God Bless You & God bless them!
I am also in Texas. How kind of you to want to help others with this app. How do you share it? I also am staying home from church because of Covid. I am glad you are feeling better.
