Dear community,

Amid coronavirus outbreak, with many people unable to attend Mass and isolated in their homes, Divine Office is opening registrations temporarily to allow people in the United States to join in prayer. We hope more brothers and sisters will find spiritual nourishment, strength and consolation in praying the Liturgy of the Hours as we all go through these difficult, uncertain times.

To join others is prayer, make an account here if you don’t have one already: https://divineoffice.org/register/

Those who are visually impaired or blind can benefit from using this version of our website: https://divineoffice.org/accessible/

In the words of Saint Ambrose:

“Let us take refuge from this world. You can do this in spirit, even if you are kept here in the body. You can at the same time be here and present to the Lord. Your soul must hold fast to him, you must follow after him in your thoughts, you must tread his ways by faith, not in outward show. You must take refuge in him. He is your refuge and your strength.” [1]

  1. Thank you for your response to the Covid Pandemic! The wearing of masks and the social isolation is relieved by the reading/listening to the the sacred scripture of the Divine Office from this app. It is now and will continue to be an important sacramental in my prayer life! God bless you for all your efforts in creating and maintaining this sacramental app!

  2. This is wonderful! Your app has been a blessing to me for several years, and I’m excited that more people will get to use it!

  3. Thank you for this, because it helps me focus more on God.

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
    (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

  4. Thank you for opening up again this time, I have the app now in my new unit. I am grateful indeed to be part of Divine Office dot org. I still have the app in my old phone which I use in my personal prayer time, though it is already in need of a replacement, due to the tremendous advance and upgrading of trending technology. Now, we are coming to a NEW era. I pray that we all evolve into true sons and daughters of God in the Risen Christ. God bless

  5. Thank you for opening this sight up! I have been waiting got it for several months. It is life changing to pray the hours with you and others in the world.

  6. Thank you so much for doing this! My soul is so happy. Years ago, I used to listen and pray along to your app for Compline every night. When I replaced my phone, I lost it, and I had no account to fall back on. Since then, I’ve looked for a replacement, but they have all fallen short of these beautiful recordings.

I will share this with the few Catholics I know! Thank you so much! Yay, God!

  7. I discovered Divine Office org during the Covid-19 pandemic. The prayer and hymns have given great peace in a time desperate of spiritual comfort. Thank you staff and all who underwent such a calling.

  8. I immediately don’t like this group, for the sole reason that the whole Liturgy of The Hours should be chanted.

That’s how we do it here at Blessed Sacrament parish in Wichita, Kansas

Do you know where I can find online a group that is CHANTING it?

    Thx,
    Thomas Damattia

    • 1(337)326-7762 Call anytime. Some of the songs we will have to sing along with the recordings. But, a capella, we can do if you’re willing to lead it?
How do you read your Bible, any specific translation? The choice of material is not in question only the method chosen to deliver it. Once we’ve started and you are comfortable with leadership, then stewardship is required lol to spread the devotion to others will enhance your missing fellowship. Cut and paste the registration info on this page and send a group text or share a group email to missing prayer members or contact the office and place it in the church bulletin. Remember, that is where you’ll find the daily readings for the week, the Pastor’s homily, prayer intentions&requests, sick and shut ins needing encouragement in prayer or visitation over the phone.
Look forward to hearing from you, Bro. DiMattia. We apologize for your inconvenience.

  9. May God our heavenly Father bless the staff & members of Divine Office in all ways specially in these trying times.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  10. Thank you for gifting us with this sanctuary.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

  11. Thank you thank you thank you! I have waited for almost two years to be able to share this beautiful devotion with my (many) sisters and brother. God bless the entire staff.

  12. I’m sooo grateful! Will share and thank you for everything you accomplish in this ministry….I have been a prayer partner for years now.

  13. “Sit in your cell as in paradise.
    Put the whole world behind
you and forget it. Watch your
    thoughts like a good fisherman
watching for fish. The path you
must follow is in the Psalms
    – never leave it.”
    St. Romuald
