In an effort to encourage and promote among our community members more interaction, communication and spiritual support for one another, Divine Office has been working on a new email notification system where members will get an email informing them each time they received:

– “Amen” to their Intercessory prayers
– New comments to their topics
– New comments added to topics they commented on
– New comments on topics they liked

As a Third Order Lay Carmelite we are very grateful for this as when our sisters and brother cannot make it in person to our meetings, they are able to join us by zoom and recite the prayers along with us. I personally like to say the prayers on my own in the morning and night as it makes me feel that I am in a community and not praying alone. Thank you so very much for all the prayers that are extended in all of our prayers. May God bless all of you for producing the prayers for people who are unable to get with a community and can say them on their own.

The divineOffice, originally was prayed by laity . Then the church , Monastery, religious communities took up the beautiful practice of , praying the psalms .
I encourage everyone to pray for all those who are suffering greatly, inJerusalem. Please pray the chaplet of Saint Michael, the Archangel daily for the return of a safety of Gods people & Jerusalem, and the freeing of all of the hostages and civilians. And for all of our Jewish family, & friends who are afraid here and abroad . God’s Peace be you today.
Praying together and community is vital for God’s people and the world. I am most grateful for the opportunity to continue praying together.God’s people are under attack and this is the most effective tool we have to combat evil . God promises to always hear the cries of his children.God is faithful. Do not lose Hope .I encourage everyone to pray the chaplet of Saint Michael the archangel each day .Saint Michael and the archangels can send Satan and all of his angels into the fires of hell .Saint Michael, the archangel is our defender assigned by God . May God give us a peaceful heart this day, knowing of his great love and mercy for each one of us. Amen.We are his precious sons and daughters, and he is listening to our cries.

I feel the same way. I feel like I am praying in community even though I am home alone. It gives an awareness of the universality of the church and no matter what time I pray I see that many others often hundreds of others are praying with me

I am so sorry to hear that. It has helped me so much in being able to pray the DivineOffice. I have and the breviary for a while but I am more motivated to pray when I pray in community
Today is the memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church, not Monday of the of the 8th Week in Ordinary Time. The new Prayer is in the Guide for the Liturgy of the Hours for 2023.
It is a beautiful Tuesday morning and praying the Divine Office is one way to show my gratitude to what God has given us, a beautiful day.
