Joyful hope in God

When the Lord delivered Zion from bondage,
it seemed like a dream.

The heathens themselves said: “What marvels
the Lord worked for them!”

Apart from God our labors are worthless

you who toil for the bread you eat,
when he pours gifts on his beloved while they slumber.

Truly sons are a gift from the Lord,

READING Acts 5:41-42

The apostles left Sanhedrin full of joy that they had been judged worthy of ill-treatment for the sake of the Name. Day after day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped preaching and proclaiming the good news of Jesus the Messiah.
